Two Milwaukee police officers sent to hospital after crash near 35th & Thurston

MILWAUKEE -- Two Milwaukee police officers were involved in a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of 35th and Thurston Thursday night, August 4th. It happened around 10:40 p.m.

The initial investigation reveals that the squad car, which was being operated by a 29-year-old male officer and occupied by a 22-year-old female officer, was traveling south on 35th street when a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old girl made a left turn in front of the squad car.

The squad car collided with the civilian’s vehicle and caused a significant amount of damage.

Both officers were taken to a local hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries.

Occupants from the other vehicle were also conveyed to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries.
