Police: Two suspects in stolen car arrested after pursuit, third suspect sought

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police arrested two suspects who fled from officers in a car stolen in an armed robbery late on Tuesday, August 16th. But they're searching for a third suspect.

Officials say the initial carjacking happened around 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday  near Teutonia and Atkinson. A 27-year-old Milwaukee woman had her 1995 Honda Accord taken at gunpoint.

Around 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, that vehicle was spotted by officers near 27th and Atkinson. The officers attempted to make a traffic stop, but the driver sped off from the scene. A pursuit was initiated and a few minutes later in the neighborhood just south of 32nd and Villard, the Accord drove over the curb into a vacant field and became disabled.

Three people from inside the car fled and two were arrested. Again, Milwaukee police are searching for that third suspect.

The arrested individuals are an 18-year-old Milwaukee man and a 24-year-old Milwaukee man. Officials say the 18-year-old has a lengthy arrest record dating back to 2010 and the 24-year-old is a convicted felon with an arrest record dating back to 2007.
