Search underway for man accused of attacking 3 women with lawnmower blade and tree branch

UNION, South Carolina -- Deputies in Union County, South Carolina are searching for a man accused of attacking three women with a lawnmower blade and a tree branch after a dispute on Facebook, according to investigative reports.

The assault happened Sunday afternoon, August 28th on Buffalo-West Springs Highway.

According to investigative reports, officers met with the victims, one of whom was bleeding from the neck, who said they had been attacked by Jared Kyle Harvey.

The women said Harvey came over to confront the women over something that was posted on Facebook. He reportedly jumped out of a vehicle and charged at them with weapons in his hands.

Reports state Harvey hit two of the women with a lawnmower blade, cutting one of them on the left side of her neck.

The third woman said Harvey also hit her with a tree branch before speeding off in a dark SUV.

Deputies said they found the tree branch and the lawnmower blade at the scene but have not been able to locate Harvey.

Warrants were signed charging Harvey with assault and battery high and aggravated and two counts of assault and battery second degree.
