WAUKESHA COUNTY — A domestic disturbance in the City of Pewaukee late Sunday, August 28th led to a low-speed pursuit and eventually an arrest.

Officials say around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, deputies from the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department responded to a complaint of a domestic disturbance in Pewaukee. While on their way, deputies located the suspect fleeing the residence in a vehicle. When a traffic stop was attempted, the vehicle failed to stop and a vehicle pursuit was initiated.

During the low-speed pursuit, the suspect vehicle side swiped a deputy sheriff’s squad causing minor damage.

The vehicle was pursued into the Village of Merton and came to a stop on Highway VV east of Center Oak Rd. The driver of the vehicle, a 27-year-old man from Pewaukee, was taken into custody.

Wisconsin State Patrol responded to the scene and assisted with the investigation.
