DISH Network and Tribune Media reach long-term agreement

MILWAUKEE — FOX6 is pleased to announced a broadcasting carriage and retransmission agreement has been reached between our parent company, Tribune Broadcasting and DISH Network.

The agreement covers 52 local television stations in 33 markets, including FOX6.

The agreement restores DISH carriage and FOX6 and Tribune's cable network, WGN America.

The companies issued the following joint statement:

“We want to thank our viewers and customers for their patience and support as we worked through this lengthy process. We’re pleased to move forward and again be able to provide the content of Tribune’s local stations and WGN America for years to come.”


FOX6 wants to thank viewers for their patience and support as this deal was worked out.

Tribune’s local stations are expected to be available to DISH customers later today. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
