PEWAUKEE — One person is dead after being hit by a train in Pewaukee.

It happened around midnight near Oakton Avenue and Clark Street around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6th.

Police say an empty freight train struck a middle-aged woman. The train was traveling at 49 miles-per-hour at the time of the incident, and its horn was sounding, along with bells and whistles.

Police say there are no indications of foul play in this case.
