Impacted by ITT Tech closure? Waukesha County Technical College, MATC offer help

WAUKESHA -- Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) will host an information session for students impacted by ITT Technical Institute’s closure.

The session will be held Thursday, September 15th from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the college’s Richard T. Anderson Education Center, 800 Main St. Representatives from admissions and financial aid/military benefits will be on hand to answer questions, along with academic advisors representing each of the college’s four schools – the School of Business, School of Applied Technologies, School of Human and Protective Services and School of Health. WCTC offers programs similar to those offered by ITT, including Information Technology (IT), Architectural Drafting and Criminal Justice.

The only paperwork required is a transcript from ITT – official or unofficial – that documents courses the students have taken and the number of credits earned there.

For more information or to register for the session, visit wctc.edu or call 262-691-5129.

Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) is offering similar assistance. Students can call 414-297-6050, email MATCITT@matc.edu or visit any campus Welcome Center for assistance. Since each situation is different, students will meet with an MATC Financial Aid specialist and an Academic Counselor to determine the best plan of action.
