SkyWest flight makes emergency landing at Mitchell Intl. Airport

MILWAUKEE — A SkyWest Airlines plane made an emergency landing at General Mitchell International Airport Thursday, September 8th after experiencing a possible mechanical issue.

The plane departed from Mitchell about 6:50 a.m.  — when the crew reported possible mechanical issues and returned to the airport. The plane was headed for Minneapolis.

The plane landed safely shortly before 7:30 a.m., and taxied back to the gate.

It is unclear how many people were on board the plane.
