DOT: Overnight closure of US 45 northbound at I-41/US 45 split to take place September 14th

WASHINGTON COUNTY -- The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is scheduled to conduct overhead sign replacement at the I-41/US 45 split in Washington County.

To facilitate this work, a full closure of US 45 northbound, from the split to just south of WIS 145, will be required. The closure of US 45 northbound is scheduled to take place Wednesday (tonight), September 14 from 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Detour:

For northbound US 45 traffic: Continue north on I-41, past the spilt, to exit at eastbound WIS 145. Continue east on WIS 145 to connect with the entrance ramp for northbound US 45.

During this time period, northbound traffic on I-41/US 45 will be down to one lane, approaching the split. I-41 southbound and US 45 southbound are scheduled to remain open.

Safety to the traveling public is of the utmost priority. The safest way to perform this work is by enacting this closure. If weather does not permit this operation, the work will be rescheduled to take place the following night, Thursday, September 15 from 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The aforementioned activity is part of the I-41/US 45 Rehabilitation Project. More information can be found on 511 Wisconsin.
