"Flash is my favorite superhero and Dad is too:" Air Force Sgt. surprises triplet sons; coming home early

CABOT, Arkansas -- There was a big surprise for some triplets at a bowling alley in Arkansas Sunday, September 18th -- and a happy homecoming.

Whether a spare or a strike, six-year-old Nicholas Johnson knows bowling takes focus.

"When we bowled the first time, I had one million and 82," Johnson said.

Johnson and his two brothers wore their favorite shirts to the bowling alley Sunday, hoping they'd have good luck.

"Flash is my favorite superhero and Dad is too," Johnson said.

They had their minds trained down the lanes as their dad, Brian Johnson, having served in Afghanistan for more than four months, eagerly anticipated making their game, and their day perfect.

His boys had absolutely no idea.

"We have three more days until he comes back -- or four," Johnson said.

Their superhero walked through the door to the bowling alley Sunday and surprised his three young sons.

U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant Johnson and his wife, Barbara made luck happen for the triplets.

"To hear my kids say that they think of me as a hero is very special to me and makes me proud," Brian Johnson said.

It was the feeling of rolling a strike without even letting go of the ball.

"I just wanted to stop and forget everything else and just take them and run off somewhere with them," Brian Johnson said.
