"Pray for us:" Family deeply grieving death of 4-year-old boy shot inside home



MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee family is grieving after a four-year-old boy is shot and killed. It happened inside a home near N. 15th and North Friday night, September 30th.



One day after the tragedy, rain falls on a small memorial.

"Oh my God. Pray for us. Mistakes happen and that little boy loved his mother," said Tifarah Green, victim's aunt.

The four-year-old boy was shot and killed inside the home just before 6:00 p.m. Friday night.

Family says the boy's name was Jordan.

Police say the boy was struck by a bullet fired from inside the home. It's unclear who fired the weapon.

Police are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

"We don't know exactly what happened to Jordan," said Green.

The boy's aunt spoke through tears, devastated by what took place.

"We don't need no judgement from people. Don't look down on my sister because she took great care of her kids, both of them," said Green .

Family gathered outside of the home late Friday night, standing together in prayer and promising to comfort a mother who has lost her little boy.

"Jordan loved his mother. He loved his mother. So do not judge, pray," said Green.

Police have not said whether anyone is in custody.
