MEQUON -- Homestead hosting Whitefish Bay in Division 2 Playoffs, with a chance to go to the state semi-finals. After the Blue Dukes lose a fumble on the opening drive, Homestead capitalizes. Eric Zoeller finds Ryan Baranko for the score. That makes it 7-to-0 Highlanders. But the visitors respond on the ensuing drive. Cade Garcia pump fakes and then dumps the ball to Michael Kirkendoll Junior who does the rest. The see-saw battle continues as Zoeller answers with the perfect ball to Matthew Hartlieb for another score. And the Highlanders hold on. They play Monona Grove next.
