Red Cross assists 8 people displaced by early morning fire in Mukwonago

MUKWONAGO — The American Red Cross is assisting eight people who are displaced following an early morning fire that took place at an apartment complex on Michaels Court off Rochester Street in Mukwonago.

The call to officials came in just after 5:00 a.m., Saturday, November 5th.

According to the Mukwonago Fire Department, the fire started in a storage space of a balcony of one of the second floor units. The fire spread to the attic and roof of the complex.


Officials say the fire was extinguished quickly but occupants of all eight units were displaced due to smoke and water damage. The American Red Cross has come in to assist those displaced.

The damage is estimated at $100,000.

The cause of the fire is unclear at this time.
