Kiel High School briefly evacuated due to threat of bomb; nothing suspicious found

KIEL -- Kiel High School on Monday, November 7th was evacuated due to a threat.

According to a statement from officials with the Kiel Area School District, at around 8:15 a.m., administrators were alerted to a vague threat of a bomb.

Police were called, and high school students were evacuated to the football field.

Parents were notified through the school district's emergency alert system.

Kiel police contacted the Kiel Fire Department for a sweep of the building.

Nothing threatening was found.

Students and staff were called back into the building at 10:00 a.m.
