Watch: Deer struck by SUV, put into vehicle was actually alive and kicking

ADAMS COUNTY -- This is a deer hunting story they'll be talking about for some time in Adams County -- and it was all captured on dashcam.

A driver apparently struck a deer with his SUV. Officials say he checked out the animal, thought it was dead, and put it in the back of his vehicle.

After he got it home, the deer was alive and kicking -- so he called authorities. What happened next -- is caught on dash cam. Just watch.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office had a little fun with this story over the weekend.

The deputy involved in this incident is Brian Loewenhagen. Officials say he was the deputy who recently arrested an intoxicated driver who indicated he got drunk from the beer battered fish fry he had eaten.
