1 dead, 3 seriously injured in two-vehicle crash in Fond du Lac County

FOND DU LAC -- One person was killed and three others were injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday, November 21st in Fond du Lac County.

Crews responded to a call for a two-vehicle, multi-injury crash on County Highway AW and Oak Grove Road in the Town of Alto around 5:45 p.m.

A preliminary investigation revealed an eastbound vehicle crossed the center line, striking a westbound vehicle head-on.

The operator of the eastbound vehicle was a 57-year-old Waupun man. He was transport by Flight for Life to Aurora Hospital in Summit with serious injuries.

The westbound vehicle was driven by a 52-year-old Waupun woman who was transported to Waupun Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

There were two passengers in the westbound vehicle. A 17-year old Waupun teen was transported to Waupun Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.  A 23-year-old Waupun man died at the scene.

That 23-year-old man has been identified as Brock Hoekstra.

Officials say the 57-year-old was wearing a seat belt.  It is undetermined at this time if the two surviving occupants in the westbound vehicle were wearing seatbelts. The deceased was not wearing a seatbelt.

Alcohol was not a factor.

The crash remains under investigation by the Fond du Lac Sheriff’s Office.
