Police: 1 injured after 2 men exchange gunfire on Milwaukee's north side

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday night, December 4th on the city's north side.

It happened just before 10 p.m. near 40th and Thurston.

Police say the victim, a 25-year-old man from Milwaukee, was shot during an exchange of gunfire with another male. He was transported to a local hospital by friends and is currently being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The other subject involved in the incident, a 19-year-old Milwaukee man, was not injured. He remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators.

Police say their investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident is ongoing.
