Update: Tsunami watch has been cancelled for Hawaii

A tsunami watch has been canceled for Hawaii, according to the National Weather Service’s Pacific Tsunami Warning Center. A watch for the state had been issued after an earthquake off the Solomon Islands.

“Based on all available data there is no tsunami threat to the state of Hawaii,” the center said.
