WEST BEND — A 39-year-old West Bend man has been arrested after police say he hid a video camera in the heating vent of his girlfriend’s 20-year-old daughter’s bedroom.

According to police, the 20-year-old West Bend woman and her mother called police to report a finding of a suspicious device in the heating vent of the 20-year-old’s bedroom. Investigators determined the device was a video camera that had been recording the 20-year-old woman in her bedroom.

Officials say the mother’s 39-year-old boyfriend is responsible for purchasing the camera and placing it in the heating vent. Investigators recovered images of the 20-year-old woman in stages of undress that the man had saved.

Police say the man was residing in the home with the victim and her mother.

According to police, the 39-year-old West Bend man was arrested for invasion of privacy and capturing representations depicting nudity. He is currently in the Washington County Jail.
