United Way raises record $60.13 million to beat 2016 campaign goal

Officials with the United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County said they raised a record-breaking amount in 2016 -- more than $60 million -- beating the campaign goal by about $5,000.

The largest overall corporate supporter was Johnson Controls -- Wisconsin's largest public company.

The money raised will help support programs at more than 100 health and human services agencies in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Ozaukee and Washington County.
