"This one is special:" Packers to face Falcons in NFC Championship Game after WIN vs. Cowboys

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Green Bay Packers will face the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Championship Game next Sunday, January 22nd after their 34-31 WIN over the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington, Texas Sunday, January 15th.

Kickoff was set for 3:40 p.m., and this was a game you could watch ONLY ON FOX6!

According to Packers.com, the following players were declared inactive for Sunday's game:

As play got underway at AT&T Stadium Sunday, the Packers won the coin toss and opted to defer. The Cowboys would start with the ball.

The first team to score Sunday afternoon was the Dallas Cowboys. Cowboys' kicker Dan Bailey was good on a 50-yard field goal, bringing the score to 3-0 with 11:23 left in the first quarter.

The Packers quickly answered -- with a 34-yard pass from Packers' QB Aaron Rodgers to Richard Rodgers for a TOUCHDOWN!

With that, the Packers were in the LEAD -- 7-3.

At the end of the first quarter, the Packers led the Cowboys 7-3.

Early in the second quarter, the Packers extended their lead over the Cowboys with a three-yard run for a TOUCHDOWN by Ty Montgomery.

With the extra point, the Packers led 14-3.

It was Ty Montgomery with the next Packers touchdown. Montgomery dove into the end zone for his second touchdown run of the first half. With the extra point, the Packers led the Cowboys 21-3.

The Cowboys quickly answered, with a 40-yard pass to Dez Bryant for the touchdown. With the extra point, the Packers led the Cowboys 21-10 with 6:03 left in the first half.

It was 21-13, the Packers in the lead with just 1:00 left in the first half after a Cowboys' field goal.

A 33-yard field goal by Cowboys' Dan Bailey was good.

The Packers' first score of the second half was a result of a three-yard touchdown pass from QB Aaron Rodgers to Jared Cook.

With the extra point, the score was Packers 28, Cowboys 13 with 11:25 left in the third quarter.

The Cowboys scored early in the fourth quarter with a pass from Cowboys' QB Dak Prescott to TE Jason Witten.

With the extra point, the Packers led the Cowboys 28-20 with 11:39 left in the game.

The Packers and Cowboys were TIED at 28 with about four minutes to go in the fourth quarter after a touchdown catch by Dez Bryant -- and a two-point conversion. Cowboys' QB Dak Prescott ran the ball into the end zone to TIE this game.

Mason Crosby was GOOD with a 56-yard field goal late in the fourth to put the Packers back in the lead -- 31-28 with 1:33 left in the game.

The Cowboys answered with a field goal of their own. Dan Bailey completed the 52-yard field goal to TIE the game once again at 31 in the fourth.
