Incident at 6th St. viaduct

MILWAUKEE — West Allis police said a Milwaukee man was arrested after a pursuit that began near 84th and Greenfield in West Allis early Sunday morning, March 5th.

It began around midnight.

West Allis police said officers attempted to perform a traffic stop on a vehicle, and that vehicle failed to stop. The vehicle was pursued, and stop sticks were deployed.

Police said although the stop stick deployment appeared to be successful, the vehicle did not come to a stop until the 6th Street bridge in Milwaukee.

Police said the driver, a 28-year-old Milwaukee man, was combative with officers, but taken into custody for several felonies.

A West Allis officer received a minor injury during the arrest. Nobody else was injured.
