BIG BEND — A 31-year-old woman was ejected from her vehicle and hurt in a crash that shut down ALL lanes of I-43 southbound near WIS 164 in Big Bend Sunday, March 19th.

Officials with the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department said around 10:40 a.m., the 31-year-old woman was driving a black Chevrolet SUV at a high rate of speed — traveling erratically — when it side swiped another SUV, driven by a 42-year-old Mukwonago man.

The SUV driven by the 31-year-old woman then rolled — and the woman was ejected. She was taken to Froedtert Hospital by ambulance for treatment of her injuries.

The Mukwonago man and his 16-year-old passenger were not hurt.

This crash remains under investigation by the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department.
