Milwaukee police: 1 killed, another hurt following shooting near 91st and Silver Spring

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating after one person was fatally shot and another wounded near 91st and Silver Spring Friday evening, July 14th.

According to police, the shooting happened around 6:10 p.m.

Police say a 30-year-old man and 29-year-old woman were shot. Despite life-saving efforts, the man, later identified as Deonte Culpepper, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound and is being treated at a local hospital.

Police say no one is in custody at this time.
