Investigators: Flight for Life dispatched to multi-vehicle wreck on County Hwy. KR

KENOSHA-RACINE CO. -- The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department along with the Wisconsin State Patrol are investigating a wreck involving multiple vehicles on County Highway KR just west of Highway 31. The wreck happened at 11:35 a.m.

The investigation on scene at this time is that a semi-truck traveling east was stopped at the mentioned location waiting for a train to pass. The semi had two vehicles also traveling east, and also waiting for train to pass.

Another semi-truck traveling east for unknown reason/s came across location and the operator failed to realize the vehicles stopped in traffic. This semi struck the first vehicle in the rear as well as the second vehicle and eventually came to rest after striking the stopped semi.

One of the operators of the stuck vehicles was transported via Flight for Life helicopter to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee for precautionary reasons.
