88th and Greenfield in West Allis

West Allis Deputy Police Chief Christopher Botsch said earlier Thursday police were looking for a man who allegedly pulled up and propositioned a 12-year-old child for sex near 88th and Greenfield around 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

West Allis police said on Facebook Thursday evening a suspect is in custody:

"Well having a daughter. It scared me," said Travis Rudea, who was riding his bike on Greenfield Avenue Thursday.

In addition to his eight-month-old, Rudea said he also has a 22-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old son.

"Honestly, I'm a little overprotective so (my older daughter) wasn't out of my sight too much, you know?" said Rudea.

Legion Drive and Elmhurst Parkway in Elm Grove

A similar incident happened around the same time Tuesday in Elm Grove. Police received a report that near the intersection of Legion Drive and Elmhurst Parkway, two men in a black four-door car approached an eight-year-old boy on a bike and called him over. The boy ran away and told his parents.

"It's scary," said Rudea.

Elm Grove police said they have no evidence a crime was committed but said they were working with West Allis police due to the similarities.

On Thursday, a West Allis officer pulled over and told a FOX6 reporter he was following up on a new lead. Rudea told the officer he's seen the car matching the description of the suspect vehicle near his house in the past.
