GLENDALE — Glendale police officers on Sunday, December 17th took some kids on a shopping spree!
Kids and officers went shopping at the Kohl’s store at Bayshore Town Center, with about 25 children taking part.
They each got about $125 to spend in the store — and after the shopping, they went over to iPic for some bowling.
Students from Parkway Elementary took part. Their school is across the street from the Glendale police station.
“We try and partner with the school to make sure that we’re taking kids out that may not necessarily have this type of experience if it wasn’t for a program like this, and because of this, we just have an amazing time with these kids and the smiles on their faces just tell the story,” Todd Lynch, Glendale police officer said.
This was the 10th year of the event.
