What do you think about walking in Milwaukee? City officials want your input

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Department of Public Works (DPW) wants your input about walking in Milwaukee. The city is creating its first Pedestrian Plan.

A news release issued on Monday, December 18th says it is being developed by DPW in partnership with Toole Design Group and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The overall goal is to make getting around the city safer, easier, and more comfortable for pedestrians.

The city is studying pedestrian crashes, driving and walking behaviors, and city policies for improving safety and accessibility for pedestrians.

Based on the feedback from the community and the results of the studies, the Milwaukee Pedestrian Plan will include recommendations to make Milwaukee more pedestrian-friendly.
