Police: 4 taken into custody after crashing stolen vehicle during pursuit

MILWAUKEE — Four people, including a 14-year-old girl, were taken into custody Wednesday night, Jan. 10 following a police pursuit that ended in a crash on Milwaukee’s north side.

According to police, the pursuit began after a stolen vehicle being driven recklessly failed to pull over for a traffic stop around 10:15 p.m.

During the pursuit, the vehicle failed to stop for a stop sign, struck another vehicle and came to rest in the yard of a house at 14th and Olive Street.  No major injuries were reported.

After a short foot pursuit, three males ages 16, 17 and 20 were taken into custody.  Also arrested was a 14-year old girl.

The case will be presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office in the coming days for potential charges.
