Drivers, exercise caution! Slick roads to blame for multiple accidents

MILWAUKEE -- Drivers are encouraged to use caution in their travels Friday morning, January 12th -- as temperatures dropped significantly overnight, creating slippery road conditions.

A jackknifed semi temporarily shut down all northbound lanes on I-43 at Brown Deer Road. That crash has since been cleared -- and all lanes have reopened.

Bayside police also issued a warning to drivers on their Twitter page about slick conditions. They ask that drivers be extremely careful on their morning commute, especially around the N. Lake Dr. and E. Brown Deer Rd. curve and I-43 ramps.

FOX6 News reporter Amy DuPont says she passed five crashes on her way to work this morning. Including the Silver Spring Drive exit off I-43 -- where three people went into the ditch. And a semi that's halfway in the ditch on I-43 South at Good Hope Road.
