Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office: 2 hurt after crash involving ambulance, SUV in Fredonia



FREDONIA -- Ozaukee County officials responded to a two-vehicle crash involving an ambulance on Highway 57 and County Highway A in Fredonia.

It happened around 1:15 p.m. on Friday, January 12th.

According to the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office, the ambulance was traveling east on County Highway A, when it was struck by a Honda CR-V traveling northbound on Highway 57.

The driver of the ambulance was taken by a Waubeka ambulance to treatment, and the driver of the CR-V was taken to treatment by a Grafton ambulance.

The driver of the Honda was cited for failure to yield the right of way for an emergency vehicle.

The ambulance needed to be towed away on a flatbed.
