Attention drivers: This upcoming construction could impact your commute

MILWAUKEE -- Ryan Luck with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation joins FOX6 WakeUp to talk about upcoming construction that's going to impact your commute.

Zoo Interchange:

  • The Sunnyslope Road Bridge over I-94 East and West will close for reconstruction beginning February 7th by 5am. The bridge is scheduled to reopen in late August 2018.
  • Demolition of the bridge is scheduled to occur overnight on Friday, February 9th from 9pm -9am:
  • Overnight Full closure I-94 EB at Moorland Rd for bridge demolition and overhang work.
  • Overnight full closure I-94 WB at the Zoo Interchange for bridge demolition and overhang work.

I-41/894 Rehabilitation Project:

Just a heads up that views may start to notice barrels along the project route and some overnight lane closures beginning the week of February 5. The long term lane and ramp closures are a few weeks out and we will keep you posted.
