Brown Deer woman driving on I-43 with headlights off cited for 4th OWI offense

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office arrested a 38-year-old woman for her fourth OWI offense on I-43, early Wednesday morning, February 7th.

Officials say just before 1:00 a.m., a deputy stopped a vehicle traveling northbound on I-43 near Silver Spring Driver, without its lights on.

The driver, a 38-year-old Brown Deer woman, tested .15 on a preliminary breath test. She was arrested for her fourth OWI. Her prior convictions were in February 2006, January 2009 and June 2013.

The woman was also driving on a revoked license. If convicted of the fourth OWI charge, she faces up to six years in prison. She also faces up to seven months for operating while revoked, and failure to install ignition interlock device.

The driver was cited for operating a vehicle with suspended registration plates, and operating without required lamps lighted.
