Aurora Health Care is latest to implement hospital visitor restrictions this flu season

MILWAUKEE -- Given the severity of the flu this season and in an abundance of caution, Aurora Health Care is placing a temporary restriction on visitors to the neonatal intensive care units at Aurora Sinai Medical Center and Aurora West Allis Medical Center.

According to a news release, beginning Friday, Feb. 9, visitors under the age of 12 will not be allowed into the neonatal intensive care units at Aurora Health Center medical centers.

The temporary restriction on visitation will help reduce exposure to influenza and viral infections.

Aurora will reassess the restriction regularly as new information about the flu season becomes available.
