Brookfield East Senior hoping to lead basketball team to new heights

BROOKFIELD-- Patrick Cartier is a senior at Brookfield East. He's the center on the Spartans basketball team. Patrick is one of the leaders of the team that is having a very successful season. He says the team has a goal of making it to state, something that hasn't happened at Brookfield East in many years. He also played football while in high school. He was part of the team that won a state title in the fall of 2016. Patrick's family has a basketball background. His grandfather played in college and the NBA. His father played in high school and his twin brother, Everett, plays for the Spartans also. Next year Patrick will play at college for Hillside College in Michigan, a Division 2 school. He plans to study psychology.
