‘Please slow down:’ 3 vehicles collide after passing deputies conducting traffic stop

FOND DU LAC — The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is reminding motorists to slow down upon the approach of emergency vehicles. This, after a three-vehicle crash happened Sunday afternoon, Feb. 18.

It happened around 5:45 p.m. on northbound I-41 — south of Fond du Lac.

According to authorities, a vehicle being searched by deputies, as well as the two squad cars positioned behind it, were all parked safely on the paved shoulder when the accident occurred.

The squad cars had their emergency lights activated.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says the first passing vehicles seen in the video, “did so at an appropriate speed, but the last three did not, and you will see and hear the result of their unsafe driving.”

No one was injured in the accident.

All three vehicles involved had to be towed from the scene.
