Woman facing charges after Sheboygan woman dies from suspected heroin overdose

SHEBOYGAN -- Two people were taken into custody after police say a Sheyboygan woman, 35, died from a suspected heroin overdose.

Sheboygan police say they were called to a home on Mayflower Ave. around 12:20 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 15. Upon arrival, officers found a group of people, along with a 6- and 2-year-old child, in the front yard. One of the children stated his mother was sick inside and needed assistance.

Officers located a woman deceased in the bathroom. Investigation revealed her death was consistent with a drug overdose.

According to police, the investigation led them to a Sheboygan woman, 26, who had allegedly delivered heroin to the victim earlier that morning. A search warrant was served at the woman's residence, where officials found marijuana and ecstasy.

The woman was placed in the Sheboygan County Detention Center along with her boyfriend, 28.

Sheboygan police referred a charge of delivery of heroin on the woman -- and a possession of marijuana and MDMA on her boyfriend. Both were on probation and received probation holds.

The investigation is ongoing.
