Hit-and-run near 14th and Atkinson

MILWAUKEE — A Milwaukee police officer suffered minor injuries in a hit-and-run crash Wednesday night, Feb. 21.

It happened near 14th and Atkinson around 7:30 p.m. Police said officers were in the area to search for a wanted suspect, a Milwaukee man, 32. Officers spotted him entering a vehicle, and as one of the officers, a man, 29, tried putting his arm into the car, the suspect drove off.

The officer suffered injuries not believed to be life-threatening. He was treated and released from the hospital.

Police continue to search for the wanted suspect.

The striking vehicle is described as a black, four-door Cadillac.
