Students at Greenfield High School support peers in Parkland, Florida with creation, signing of mural

GREENFIELD -- Students at Greenfield High School have found a way to support their peers who suffered the horrible tragedy last week at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

On Thursday, Feb. 22, art students are creating a banner on which the student body will be able to add their names and messages of support. Then on Friday, that banner will be made available to the student body for everyone to sign and share their thoughts.

The banner will be sent to the school in Parkland, Florida -- where it will be hung to welcome students there when they return upon reopening of the school next week.

Administrators at the Florida school have posted on social media and the school website that they prefer the banners over individual letters, which they do not have the manpower to handle.
