Baggie tossed from vehicle during pursuit that began in Mequon, ended in Milwaukee



MILWAUKEE -- One person was taken into custody early Wednesday morning, March 7 following a police pursuit. It began in Mequon and ended near Teutonia and Good Hope.

According to Brown Deer police, shortly before 4 a.m. the Mequon Police Department advised that a vehicle fled from them southbound on N. Cedarburg Rd.

Brown Deer officers located the vehicle near 37th St. and Bradley Rd. -- and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The driver fled from officers southbound on N. Green Bay Rd.

Police say as the driver was fleeing, he was seen throwing a clear, plastic baggie out of the passenger window.  A pursuit was initiated.



Police say the driver stopped his vehicle in a parking lot in the area of Teutonia and Good Hope Rd. and was taken into custody.

The male driver was booked for knowingly fleeing from officers and possession of a controlled substance-THC. He was transported to the Milwaukee County Jail.

Charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
