Caledonia police: Man arrested for drug possession following loud noise complaint

CALEDONIA -- A 28-year-old Caledonia resident was taken into custody Friday morning, March 9 for possession of drugs following a loud noise complaint.

According to police, around 1:30 a.m. officers responded to a residence on Highway H for a loud noise complaint.

Upon arrival, police discovered a male from the Manitowoc area who had substantial facial and head wounds. The injured male was transported by Caledonia Rescue to All Saints Hospital for his injuries.

Police say the injured male refused to identify his assailants or pursue charges.

During the investigation, officers observed illegal drugs and paraphernalia in plain view in the apartment.  Officers received permission to search the apartment --  locating over 1100 grams of marijuana, other drugs and paraphernalia, a firearm and nearly $2700 in an unlocked safe.

A 28-year-old resident of the apartment was arrested on felony drug charges while armed.

Investigative reports will be forwarded to the Racine County District Attorney for review.
