MILWAUKEE — A woman is seriously injured after being shot multiple times and the suspected gunman was later found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound Saturday morning, March 10.
According to the Milwaukee Police Department, officers arrived to the area of 1st and Meinecke around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday for a report of a shooting. At the location, officers found a 28-year-old Milwaukee woman who had been shot multiple times.
She gave information about the man who shot her and then she was taken to the hospital for treatment of her serious injuries.
Authorities say officers then went to the suspects home near 54th and Silver Spring. They found the suspect, a 29-year-old Milwaukee man, dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The investigation is ongoing.
