The new partnership is a 10-year deal. Klement's will be the named sponsor of a new stage area, the Klement's Sausage and Beer Garden -- designed by Eppstein Uhen Architects. The new stage will be located on the north end of Maier Festival Park and will feature acoustic music from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. daily, spotlighting local artists.
Modeled as a “backyard” picnic-style area, there will be a seated lounge area, picnic tables and barbecue grills, as well as locations to purchase Klement’s products. Construction on the new stage will begin immediately.
"It's a natural combination for us to come together and work together," said Tom Dannecker, president and CEO of Klement's Sausage Company. "We're really proud that the brats and hot dogs that will be served at Summerfest will be made just down the street by the people who enjoyed Summerfest for years."
"We make memories," said Don Smiley, president and CEO of Milwaukee World Festival Inc. "Summerfest generates $186 million of direct and indirect economic impact for southeast Wisconsin."
Summerfest 2018 takes place June 27-July 1 and July 3-8, 2018, closed on July 2.
