Milwaukee police officer exposed to fentanyl after arresting suspect

MILWAUKEE — A Milwaukee police officer was taken to the hospital late Friday night, May 25 after getting exposed to fentanyl.

Officials say the exposure came after an arrest of a suspect where the drug was found on the suspect.

The officer was treated, released, and will return to duty.

The investigation is ongoing.
