Police: 1 dead after crashing vehicle into tree in West Allis

WEST ALLIS — Officers were on the scene of an overnight crash in West Allis Monday morning, May 28.

According to police, the crash happened just after 1 a.m. near 64th and Washington.

Initial investigation says the vehicle was traveling northbound on 64th Street, left the roadway and struck a tree. Both people in the car were ejected.

A 34-year-old man and a 35-year-old man, both from West Allis, were taken to the hospital. The 34-year-old passed away at the hospital.

The crash is still under investigation and the Wisconsin State Patrol is assisting in the investigation.
