'Ridiculous:' West Allis police seek suspects accused of breaking into home, demanding money

WEST ALLIS -- West Allis police are seeking two suspects after a home invasion near 62nd and Washington early Sunday, Aug. 5.

It happened around 5 a.m.

Police said the victim indicated the suspects were armed with handguns -- and demanded money, but they did not get any.

The suspects fled the scene on foot.

Police are investigating. Neighbors called the crime alarming.

"I love it because it's so quiet and peaceful," a neighbor said.

Jennifer Frolow saw the commotion on Sunday morning.

"Probably about nine cops. It was kind of hard to see, but I knew there was some type of police presence. To think that they can just get into a house and rob them and think that it's OK to do is just ridiculous," said Frolow.

Frolow said she believes the suspects sprinted past her backyard as they fled.

"We did see a lot of police presence in the alley," said Frolow.

She said two men got into a car and drove away.

"We've been here for six years and this is a pretty quiet neighborhood," said Frolow.

Police are still trying to track down the suspects.

"It concerned me because I've been here for 12 years and nothing like that happened around here," a neighbor said.

Thankfully, no one was hurt.
