Unmarked police squad involved in crash near 38th and Silver Spring; officers suffer minor injuries

MILWAUKEE — An unmarked Milwaukee police squad was involved in a crash near 38th and Silver Spring Friday evening, Aug. 10.

Officials say just before 8 p.m., police were in the area of Teutonia and W. Cornell St. when they saw a vehicle whose owner was wanted for numerous warrants. Officers initiated a pursuit and while pursuing they collided with a vehicle which swerved, trying to avoid the suspect vehicle, which disregarded a traffic signal. The suspects’ vehicle eventually stopped. The suspect then exited the vehicle and fled on foot.


Officers involved in the vehicle collision were transported to a hospital and treated for minor injuries.

MPD continues to seek suspects in this case.
