Police: 14-year-old taken to Children's Hospital via Flight for Life after shooting in Racine

RACINE -- A 14-year-old was taken to the hospital via Flight for Life after a shooting in Racine Sunday evening, Aug. 12.

It happened around 6:15 p.m. near Thurston and Wright.

Police said the victim suffered a gunshot wound to his back/leg area, and was transported to a Racine hospital before Flight for Life took him to Children's Hospital. He was reported to be in critical condition.

No one is in custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
