'Here to cheer them on:' Brewers fans get loud during game 1 victory over Tigers
MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Brewers have locked a spot in the postseason. But the team has made it clear -- they're not done aiming for the division title!
There are just three more regular season games to play -- all of them at Miller Park -- Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
And on Friday, Sept. 28, fans are especially excited.
"We're here to cheer them on and for another victory," said a Brewers' fan.
Hours before the game, one of the first Brewers fans is hoping to get a ticket a bleacher seat for Friday's sold out game.
Twenty-five-year-old Nick Schmid is from Milwaukee and a loyal fan of the team. He actually traveled to watch them play in St. Louis against the Cardinals last weekend. And was not going to miss an opportunity to see the team Friday night.

Schmid arrived at Miller Park just after 3:30 pm. with his lawn chair ready and a winter hat and jacket to keep warm when the temperature drops. Schmid also brought his laptop to keep an eye on the Chicago Cubs -- who beat out the Cardinals 8-4.
Outfielder Christian Yelich wrote a passionate letter to fans asking for energy and support. And Schmid is one of the many in the crowd Friday night that will be answering that call after how hard this team has worked.
"It's been awesome. We all knew a kind of a rebuild was coming but it's been so quick," said Schmid. "To make the playoffs already that we thought would be a three or five year thing of losing baseball kind of the third year of the rebuild and we're already in the playoff's -- it's incredible how quick it's gone."
We then ran into Yelich's former West Lake High School baseball coaches -- who flew all the way from California where Yelich is originally from.
The coaches showed some photos of their star athlete from back in the day -- and as you can imagine, they are incredibly proud of how far he's come. The coaches say it will be very special to see him prior to the start of the game.
One coach says Yelich's letter that was written to fans was not surprising, coming from Yelich.
"It's him, it shows what a humble and incredible kid he is. He's never changed," said John Burtzloff. "I've known him since he was 15 and he's the same kid today that he was then. He's a really special guy."
And to make Friday night even more special, Yelich's brother will be throwing out the first pitch.
