Body of man recovered from river near Coast Guard station in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee County medical examiner responded to S. Lincoln Memorial Drive near the U.S. Coast Guard station for a report of a man recovered from the Milwaukee River on Monday, Oct. 1.

The medical examiner on Tuesday identified the victim as Hollice Neal, 66. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The report from the medical examiner indicates it's unclear where Neal had entered the water, how long he had been in the water and when he was last known to have been alive. It says there were no missing person reports regarding this individual.

Milwaukee police are investigating.
